FREE RACE SHIRTS - 8 on the 8th

Grab your race shirts here!! No limit.

Take as many as you want and feel free to post on your site. Or feel free to take the logo and go to your favorite site and make your own. I don't believe Vickie received 20 orders for real shirts, but if you are still interested, let her know here.

Yes, Marcy, you can pick a man-steak rather than a girl if you like. :D

Hmm, I'd like something that has been bedazzled, what can we do about that?

So race director, any last minute notes about Saturday?

Jess said...

How do we obtain our t-shirt?

Wes said...

I'm loving this. Great job, there RD :-)

J~Mom said...

Yummyyy..oh wait we are supposed to be looking at shirts...

Marathoner in Training said...

I will take a couple of shirts one short and one long sleeve.

I don't think I'll be able to participate, Nancy :(

Unless, as the wonderful, witty, and not to mention charming, race director that you are, will allow me to count my week's mileage for the race!

I should be able to run 8 miles this week. In fact, I'm planning on 10. Thats double digits!

I'm am still SO in despite my crappy running week and total dislike of the treadmill right now!

OMG Nancy I AM LMAO!!!! I clicked on the "what I would think would be the man steak" and sure enough I click him and up top it says "man steak" Ohhh you know I'll be borrowing him for my blog post on Friday ;-)

I am seriously sad to announce that I am going to have to DNF on the 8th. It will be my first DNF. I will probably only be able to run about 3 miles or so, due to time limit and injury.

But the shirts are really cool. I just don't feel cool enough to post/wear one.

Hey Nancy. I'm still in the race. Since I'm not up to 8mi yet, I'm doing 2mi on Friday and 6mi on Saturday.

Nat said...

Shoot I keep meaning to put that up on my site. Doing 9 on the 8th.

Love that logo...

Nancy,

I am absolutely planning on doing the 8 on the 8th still!! I even worked my study group for my final around it. LOL! I am officially both a biology dork and running dork. ;-)

Nancy who henceforth will be called "The Most Revered Race Director Nancy", thanks for all of your hard work on this. I would like to inquire as to how we know that someone as obviously nefarious as Marcy won't try and do the inaugural 8 on the 8th on her bike. I can see the headlines now:
"Marcy from "I Can't Believe I Signed Up For This?!?" wins inaugural 8 on the 8th in 29 Minutes... She Wasn't Even Winded!"

IMHO, I don't think we should trust Mrs. Man-Steak.. but I will take Miss Brunette Pig Tails on the lower left if your asking.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for the reminder comment on my blog! I'm absolutely planning on my eight miles on Saturday... I'm even carbo-loading and tapering. ;-)

i'm pumped! grabbed my shirt, and it's a little big, but i'll minimize it and it should fit better.

all those models look so happy - where did you find them?

let the countdown begin for 8 on the 8th - I think about 60 hours til guntime.

Nancy said...

Yeah, they are kinda big, aren't they? I wanted you to get the full browsing potential :D

I made them all at zazzle.com Feel free to make ones of your own. I figure Man Steak is going pace me in the race. :D

what a great idea. I'm still not sure what I'm doing this weekend but I will be thinking about this.
Good luck to everyone who do 8 on the 8th.

Thanks for stopping by with a reminder. We won't be doing 8 on the 8th, but we will definitely be running and virtually participating in the energy of the race day event. Great shirts.
Thanks a bunch!!

Mary Gee said...

I am not sure I can do 8 on the 8th, but I bet if I got a shirt, I would do it. I don't understand how to get a shirt???

Scott McMurtrey said...

i'm totally there. can i take the early start, though? :)

I'll be doing 6 on the 9th. Not much of a ring to it, but it happens.

David said...

Cool logo! Due to drill weekend and a (nearly) 3-year-old all weekend, I'll be doing 8 on the 7th. Thanks for the reminder, and the logo looks awesome!

Ooooh...this looks like fun...

I wonder if I have time to do this before the big cookie baking extravaganza?! Hmmm...

Free race shirts? There goes my excuse for running topless on Saturday ;) I'm looking forward to my 8 on the 8th!

J said...

I'm so in! I will actually be doing ten. So I will just be like those elite runners that you see "warming up" for the race MILES away from the start!!

Kristina said...

this is great! thanks for the extra motivation now that it's getting wicked cold. If I get a virtual t-shirt, does that mean that I can "virtually run" the 8 miles? Btw, i used the non-runner's book for my first marathon, and it got me in fantastic shape for that race (no injuries).

Marathoner in Training said...

We need to put together another race for next month. 13 on the 13th. That is when the RNR 1/2 marathon is.

No limit..... how nice!!!

I will be running my 8 on 8 right here in Greenville, SC.

Not sure of exact location and time but I will get it in!!!

Very cool stuff!

J~Mom said...

Ahem...Dear Race director, There are rains moving into town again. Said participant would like permission to run 8 on the 7th.

Sincerely,

Javamom

Nancy said...

Race Director is pretty lenient. Sometime this weekend should be fine. We are all going to be together in spirit (just in a way that is convenient for everyone).

Pat said...

I'm good for 8 on Sunday.

Nat said...

Hmmm. I also have a christmas cookie baking weekend but will see if I can squeeze it in.

Vickie said...

Too cool! You are way so techno smart! Are you ready for Saturday??

Count me in! Although I might be doing 8 half-miles = 4 miles on Saturday. Does that count? I'm pretty out of shape =(

David said...

Nancy, my "race results" are posted.
