I need to find more uniform icons for this. Maybe I will steal Chad's. If anyone else has good ones, point me in the right direction.
Three miles with Amy (kind of sounds like Tuesdays with Morrie, although I think she is healthy). We met up after work at Gray's Lake and we got 3 miles in. I struggled some, and probably would have quit after 2, definitely would have quit at 2.89, but she said, "we've come this far, we have to do 3!" Thanks for keeping me going!! Then, let the coughing ensue.
11:13
11:17
11:28 - included me re-tying both shoes.
3.01 miles ~ 34:03 ~ 11:19 pace
Did my PT work last night while watching Bourne Identity on the new surround and hi-def that hubby has been slaving over. God, I love that man. Great gadgets.
Squats, lunges, stretches
Girlie pushups ~ 25
Food could have been better for the first day of the challenge. I'm going to try to crack down today, even with the vat of candy and the little munchkins spooking about.
Have a great day, everyone, and enjoy Trick or Treat!!

That's a nice improvement in your pace. Good for you and Amy!
Your son looks adorable on your previous post. That is just so cute. I told my daughter on our walk Sunday that I'm going to have her run with me when she's a little older. She doesn't like to run now; we're gonna have a come to Jesus meeting if she still feels that way a few years from now!
Great idea on the weight training and weight loss challenge. It's a tough time of year, but probably the most important one to make an effort. Otherwise the pounds sneak on and you're stuck with that terrible "It's January, I guess I better start doing something about this Christmas pudge" thing.
First, that son of yours is very cute...totally flying through the air is what he's doing. A new runner is born!
I just want to wish you the best with the weight goals, you can do it. Keep doing those half marathons and before you know it, you'll achieve your goal!
Yea, go for the little extra! The "feel good" aftermath is a wonderful thing :-)
That darned candy.
It's going to be the death of me yet.
I can't wait for this candy holiday to be finished!
To be honest, I didn't do that great with my food yesterday. I made pasta for dinner. But I only had a tiny bit of it and mostly ate the chicken and broccoli. I told the boyfriend that there will be no more carbs at dinner. We'll see what he makes tonight!
Good job today! Even with coughing, you got the job done. Not to be pushy, but if you can do 25 girlie push-ups (awesome by the way), maybe you should switch to the regular ones!?! Maybe start with regular and do as many as you can and finish your set with the girlie ones...
Am I being pushy? Sorry. Just wanting to challenge you!
See how consistent you are? It helps to time yourself at least occasionally too because it keeps you working a little harder. As long as you keep up your shorter runs, do a mid-distance run, and a long run every week, your pace may improve after a couple of months.
gray's lake looks like a great place for a run. Amy sounds like a great running partner.
you mentioned you might do a bizarre run for my contest. If so, write about it on halloween day and I'll put a link to it from my sight and then you can encourage your readers to vote for your run. let me know if you decide to do it.
Uggghhhh get that darn candy away from me already. I SOOOOOOOOOOOO can't wait for Halloween to be over because anything left over is going ot be trash. Bleck.
Awesome run chica ;D ;D
Good job on your run!!
Nice job on the run!! New gadgets...sweet!
Nice!
What's PT? I am really stupid when it comes to acronyms.
Sounds like you were moving at a pretty good pace. I'll just bet that Amy is a drill sargeant out there on the trails (I'm kidding of course...).
Thanks for your post on my blog. It is going to be a long couple of days.
Nancy,
Thanks again for the run. I am recommited to strength training again - really - based on your fun fact at the end. And the diet challenge - you didn't mention that - but I am all over it. I am still working up the courage to tell you my weight...baby steps...

HDTV ROCKS!!! My hubby is the best for pushing me to get it.
Hang in there... Halloween is almost over. Be strong!!!
Happy Halloween!! :o)
Whole body work outs are the way to go, IMO.
I really concentrate on abs. I've noticed a difference in leg turnover. Not sure if it is connected but works for me.
Keep at it!
good work sticking with it on that run! Happy Halloween to you also!
