Scratchy throat and sneezing yesterday turned into full blown head cold today. I had the alarm set for 4:50am for my next shoe test. Needless to say, I shut the alarm off and decided the test will have to wait.... More when I am feeling better. :S

I feel yah! I've been having sinus infection, head cold and an all out snotfest going on here :p
Your right, it can wait :)
Dang seems like everyone is getting sick. I just visited Neese's blog and she's sick also. Rest up and get better soon chica! ;D
Get better soon. There is definitely some nasty stuff going around. My son has been sick and I have had a ton of sick patients. Definitely take it easy on the running until you get better.
Bill
Take this down time to run the race course in your head and visualize yourself running strong and proud (and pain free). This is just as important as putting in the road miles, and might take your mind off your cold. Oh! and chicken soup? Do I need to Fed-Ex any?
Thanks, you guys are making me feel less guilty. I will try to take advantage of the rest and do some mental work. I really want to get out there and test my latest orthotics (geez I sound like an 80 year old...orthotics??!!)
I hope you feel better real soon!!!!
uh-oh!!! you're body has begun it's counter-run revolution!! you must strike back immediately with at least a 20 mile run to show who's boss!!
*sing-song* Get well, get well soon, we want you to get well!!!
(Sorry, I watch too my Seinfeld. That was from an episode about Elaine's work. LOL!)
But really, get better soon!!! Rest is the best medicine!
oh i've been a mess... for the first time since last thursday i woke up feeling fairly normal. the good thing about what i've had is it hasn't been down toward my throat or chest mostly nose, some cough and overall body tired and weakness, yes... it's like i felt better when i slept but as soon as i was up for a little while all i wanted to do was go back to bed. i'm gonna try to treat today as normal and finally shower and get dressed lol. what a mess i've been! hope you are better soon!
hi. found your blog through Marcy. I hope you feel better soon.
I read non-runners marathon trainer after my first marathon and I think it is a great book. The training plan will get you through the actual race, but all of the mental/psychological stuff is really valuable as well.
Hope you are feeling better by now Nancy! Our family has had the crud this summer and it is no fun. I hope it buys us a free sping this winter.
My son went to an orthopedic surgeon last week to help us determine how to help his pronation/flat arch/foot problems. In less than 10 minutes we had a plan that has already given him relief in his walking and running. Don't hold out too long on the foot doctor.
