It Was a Really Great Day

1. I had my cholesterol checked and the numbers are excellent. HDL (the good stuff) is very hard to boost and people usually bristle when they hear that the best way to do it is exercise. Mine was quite high! It is ushering the bad cholesterol out and that makes me happy. The result is the whole cholesterol profile looked fantastic. The exercise is having great health benefits.

2. My friend Lee Ann signed up and committed to some miles on Friday and hanging around. :D

3. I had the good fortune to win two awards at the year end award ceremony. It was quite fun to text the hub on his birthday while I was away and announce that I had won us two trips including one to Scotland.

4. I'm on my way home to my sweet family.

I am blessed.

So proud of you, Nancy!

Your talent and hard work deserves the recognition. Enjoy coming home.

If they had a race director's award, you'd be bringing home one more award!

You'll have to get a running kilt!

Scotland is enchanting! Wondering in what season you will be going.
Congratulations on earning good blood tests. Running has many benefits.
Of course a 5th blessing was getting out of the midwest winter for a few days.
Here's to a joyous homecoming.

Congrats on the trips and on the cholesterol. My HDL has soared with running and I'm working on my LDL slowly but surely.

Where in Scotland are you going? My parents are both from Scotland and most of my family still lives there.

Way to go, Nancy. Looks like your company appreciates you almost as much as Blogville does!

That is great that you won a trip to Scotland. No wonder our drugs cost to much ;) You probably hear that all the time. Like I hear that my taxes pay your salary, you work for me. My response to that is along the line that they need to pay higher taxes, because I want a raise in pay. Where is the other trip to?

My company gave us a coffee mug embossed with the company logo on it once. It was cool (until the emblem washed away in the dishwasher). But, still, the thought, right?

Scotland sounds fine too.
