I'm About to Do Something A Little Crazy

I have 2 young children, a husband, a full time job and a house that is in a certain amount of disrepair. I often break into tears over being behind on laundry or not having much time to pursue my running or working out (among other things !). I'm not exactly the first person you'd think of to call when you want to travel around the world on the spur of the moment. And I'm still technically in catch up mode from Scotland.

However, I did get that call, and with a lot of encouragement and support from the Hub, I am up for the challenge. Can you believe I am leaving July 9th for here?

This may be one of the craziest, coolest things I've ever attempted. (well right up there with deciding I wanted kids after all!)
Wish me luck. Details will certainly be forthcoming!! I know this makes me fairly inaccessible yet again, and probably will wreak havoc with running and dieting. I hope you will cut me some slack and realize nothing like this will probably ever happen again. :D

Wow! VERY cool. I'd say jump on it. You have been a traveling queen lately.

I'm the same way when things aren't going well in the house, or we aren't here enough to clean it and it becomes a disaster. I just look around and tear up. What a wreck I am sometimes... haha

Can't wait to hear all about your upcoming adventure.

Oh that is just the coolest thing ever! Good god woman. That completely and totally rocks.

Take tonnes and tonnes of photos. Are you going alone? Are you bringing The Man?

I so have vacation envy now.

I litterally barked "SHUT...UP... YOU GO GIRL!!"

I felt like I was on Ricki Lake's show or Tyra or Oprah or something for a minute there.

Can't wait for the photo op's - have fun!!!

Nancy, if there is one thing that has become very clear to me in the last few months, it is that life is so unpredictable and we don't know how much time we get, so I would say seize the day, and follow your dreams. Can't wait to hear all about your journey.
Hugs, Amy

OK first I have to say I AM SO SORRY for being behind with you. It wasn't intentional. For some reason Bloglines has not shown your blog as having any updates. I was wondering why the heck you kept commenting on my blog and then I saw no updates (in BL) on yours ROFLMAO! So it finally dawned on me today :P (little late to the game, eh?) that you probably DID have posts but Bloglines wasn't picking them up . . .and yes that would be the case LOL

My gosh I get all caught up with you and look at you being Miss World Traveler again! That is AWESOME!! You only live once, why the heck not?! You're so lucky!

"Where in the world is Non Runner Nancy"

You are taking your running shoes right? That wall is begging to be run on.

Sarah Kathryn said...

Dude, you can run THE WALL!!! LOL!!

That is SO awesome!

I was going to jokingly suggest on your blog that after running in Scotland, you should make running all the continents one of your life-missions. Now it doesn't seem like it would be that out of the realm of possibility!! Antarctica might be a little dicey, but, you never know...

HAVE FUN!!!

I suspect that there are many more amazing adventures in your future, but this sounds like a pretty cool one. Do you really think anyone ever looks back on their life and wishes they had been a better housekeeper? I kind of doubt it.
