Adventures of the Bowling Pin and the Walking Stick

That was my back up title for my race report. :P Now you can see why lipstick is so near and dear to my heart (keep your eyes up top on the skinny half) and why Viv's weight loss challenge is a must for me. This is about 20 yards from the finish.

Early morning bus ride

Training pals: Nancy, Amy, Art

Nancy, Art, Tom and Amy

notice Tom was wearing his Runner's Lounge Tshirt and I was wearing one from Any Time Fitness. The guy that owns my gym said he'd reimburse me the race fee if I ran in his shirt. Since he gave me a cotton wife beater (DOH!!!), I elected to wear it at the start and then bag it. Amy took a pic for me for proof! :D Not sure if this will fit the criteria or not, but I'm used to paying for races anyway, so no biggie.

No, we did not need the ambulance. :D

Yes, my long last lipstick even lasts through a hot 20k race.

Bowling Pin? See I just don't know what you are talking about because I am noticing how lean and mean you are getting! But I did notice the lipstick. You crack me up!

Have a great trip, can't wait to hear how it goes!

i would've taken the ambulance home even if i didn't need it. maybe we should have a contest to see who can take a photo from inside an ambulance after a race...

Congrats on finishing the 20k!! That is such an accomlishment.

Ha, I can tell you are wearing an Enell bra. I'd know those tell-tale upside down smiley face seams anywhere. =)

Hope you enjoy Scotland. Edinburrough castle is a site to behold. Like it's growing out of the hills.

Congratulations! And you look good.
I like pictures of Real Women. Spare me the shots of anorexic toothpick models.
You are awesome.

you would think a gym would splurge for a technical shirt!

Maybe I should dawn some lipstick so I don't look like I got run over by a mack truck when I am done!

WTH Nancy - you are so cute - lipstick or not. Don't risk the melt and go au natural - you are too pretty to worry about makeup at a race, silly girl!!

Congratulations and GREAT PICTURES!!!!

I'm so glad you mentioned the Runner's Lounge in your comments - I thought I saw some familiar faces. Geez, what a small world it is.

Those are great pics! I'll have to remember a camera to document my 10K tomorrow. Somehow the camera always gets left behind . . . or the memory card does, which is equally as useless!

You look great in the pics Nancy!
Maybe next time you can get the gym to sponsor your lipstick as well...after all it is part of your running attire!

Great shots there Nancy! We should keep the competitive spirit alive even after Viv's is over. Well, unless you lose everything all in one month ;-).

That is the first sign that someone doesn't know much about running: cotton shirts. Good for a walk around the block...but not much further.

The majority of internet retailers feature discounted piano benches. It sounds great and the keys are semi-weighted. The stage-by-factor procedures that you simply must follow are easy to examine and simple to follow.
