The miles continue to increase and I was still tired from Sunday so this wasn't my speediest. 4 miles ~ 50:04 ~ 12:30 pace. I think last week's 4 was 48:57. Just get the miles in, right? I'd love to do some speed work but I don't think I'm there yet....
Hubby came home with a treat for me, new green shuffle. He is going to use the silver one. He put the entire collection of 80's hits that we bought recently ~ 10hrs worth ~ on my shuffle, plus some country favorites. That should spark some commentary. That's okay, I can take it :) Thanks, Sweetheart!

Thanks for your kind post! Every ounce or word of support helps! :)
That is awesome that your hubby is supporting you like that...that makes it so much easier (well, at least a little! lol).
Don't worry about speed training. You are right, get the miles in. Save the speed training for your next marathon! ;)
Now I am gonna have to check my log to see how many miles I have run since I started! lol
Keep up the good work!
P.s.: I didn't check my spelling in the previous post, so I deleted it and started over. :o
Nancy, you're building up to a great level. Sunday's tiredness is natural. With that new Shuffle you can listen to the hits of ABBA, Amy's favorite!
oooh! I love the new shuffles. I have the old school one and while it's still pretty freaking small, I love how the new one comes in fun colors and clips on to your clothes. I can't really justify getting the new one since I already have the old one but I'm going to go ahead and admire yours anyway!
Great job on the miles. Congrats on the stylish new shuffle. I have the same color. Not really by choice as I bought it on the Overstock auction, and it was the won selling the soonest. $46.00 with shipping so I can't complain.
My son went out and bought one before seeing mine and he came home with the green one as well.
He thought that I would have picked the blue or silver, which I would have, had I had a choice.
As far as the choice of music, you are right on target. 80's music is the absolute best and I like the counry stuff as well.
So, just found your blog -- via someone, can't recall who I linked through -- and I was pleased to find out that Iowans, go by that very title. I've always been curious about that. It's not Iowegans or Iowanas or Iowadians. Good to know.
Good job on your mileage -- that's quite an accomplishment. And I bet the shuffle is awesome -- my husband is anti-apple, so I don't get cool stuff like that, unless it's contraband.
LOL Jess!
Awesome job on the runs and your 175th mile! Before you know it, you'll be up to 1000!
how is your new green shuffle working out for you? that looks really cute :)
I am totally jealous of your 80s music! Good job getting the miles in.
